At the entrance to the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, the neighboring cities of Camas and Washougal boast charming downtown's and community events. Rooted in history, be sure to check out the Downtown Camas Historic Walking Tour and the Pendleton Woolen Mills.

In addition to its parks, lakes, hiking areas, and shabby chic stores, Battle Ground serves as Clark County's wine country with sprawling vineyards.

Ridgefield is known for its majestic Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, which is home to many species of waterfowl and surrounded by several hiking and walking trails. Just north of the city, the new ilani Casino Resort draws gamers and diners both day and night.

North County is home to small cities founded upon pioneer history, including Amboy, La Center, Yacolt, and Woodland. The area serves as the southern gateway to Mount St. Helens and is home to attractions such as the North Clark County MuseumPomeroy Living History Farm, Chelatchie Prairie Railroad, and Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens.

Portland, Oregon is just across the river. Nationally known as one of the greenest, friendliest, and most epicurean cities, Portlanders take their (un)official slogan of ‘Keep Portland Weird’ to heart. Signature regional attractions, such as museums, zoos, and gardens are just minutes from Vancouver.
