The northbound span of the Interstate Bridge, that crosses the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon to Vancouver, Washington, will close Sept. 19-27, 2020 to replace mechanical parts that help lift and lower the bridge. The southbound span will remain open to traffic in both directions; travelers will share the three open lanes.

Esther Short Park is always buzzing, and the streets of Vancouver USA come alive with a variety of events year-round. Enjoy live music, arts events, active endeavors, educational tours, and wine and beer festivals during every season.

The beginning of the year starts with educational lantern tours of Fort Vancouver and the much-anticipated opening of the Vancouver Farmers Market. Springtime blooms are the highlight of May and April, bringing along the Woodland Tulip Festival and Lilac Days at Hulda Klager Gardens.

Summer is packed with annual favorites, like the Recycled Arts Festival, Independence Day fireworks, 4 Days of Aloha, and the Clark County Fair. Craft beverage-seekers flock to the Craft Beer & Wine Fest and the Vancouver Brewfest.

The autumn months offer the Apple Tree Marathon, and visitors can Dine the Couve for the entire month of October. Holiday happenings include a tree lighting celebration in Esther Short Park and a 19th-century-style Christmas at the Fort.
