Bleu door bakery is a french-style bakery that has been serving up delicious croissants, pastries and sandwiches in Vancouver for over 3 years. Focusing on local, small producer and sustainably produced/grown ingredients, Bleu Door Bakery offers fresh-from-scratch menu items to visitors via their walk-up bakery. Emblazoned on all coffee mugs at the bakery is the quote “She believed she could, so she did” – words that, according to owner Bonnie Brasure, attributed to the bakery’s success and impending expansion into a sit-down café.
“When people visit my bakery, they know they’re getting the highest quality ingredients. We source locally, we source for organic, natural and gluten free and Vegan options. But the first ingredient, someone once said, is love. There’s a lot put into it, and it’s the highest quality we can get. My standards are very high. When I opened three and a half years ago, I took a leap of faith and just kind of jumped in with both feet – and here I am. It’s been a great ride, the community has been so supportive, and I’m looking forward to the future and opening the café.“
