WIAA Golf State Championship Brings Top 3A and 4A Teams to Vancouver USA

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Class 3A and Class 4A high school golfers from across the state will compete for individual titles at the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Golf State Championships May 28-29, in Vancouver USA. Golfers will play at four regional golf courses and vie to be state champions.

This marks the second year the WIAA championship has been held in Clark County. More than 300 student athletes will compete in the championship over the course of two to three days.

"Our region's scenic and challenging golf courses haven proven well-equipped for holding large tournaments such as the WIAA championship," said Rosemary Cooke, director of sales at the Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office, which operates the Vancouver USA Regional Sports Commission. "We are thrilled to welcome back WIAA to Vancouver USA after last's year's successful event."

The Class 3A boys state tournament will take place at Tri-Mountain Golf Course, Ridgefield, while the Class 3A girls will play at the Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland.

The Class 4A boys championship will be held at Camas Meadows Golf Club in Camas, and the girls will compete at Club Green Meadows in Vancouver.
