Bennett Named to WACVB Board of Directors
Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office President & CEO to serve on Multi-State Board

VANCOUVER, Wash. - The Western Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus has named Kim Bennett, president & CEO of the Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office, to its board of directors for a two-year term.

"I am thrilled to have the chance to represent not only Vancouver USA but also tourism professionals and offices from across the Pacific Northwest," said Bennett. "As part of the WACVB Board of Directors, I look forward to working on an even greater level with visitor and convention bureaus from across the West to support and promote our vital tourism industry." 

In her new role, Bennett will help oversee the WACVB's efforts to support convention and visitors bureaus in industry advocacy, educational advancement and organizational management and best practices.
Bennett was nominated by industry peers and presented for general election Sept. 18 at the Annual Conference in Universal City, California. 

Bennett has served as president & CEO of the Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office since its opening in 1999. She also serves on the Board of Washington State Destination and Marketing Organizations, as well as the Washington State Tourism Alliance Board of Directors.
